Description
A spiral wound roller with copper-coated steel wire on a full-length integrated shaft for true running at speed. It removes rust, mill scale, burrs and old coatings from steel, copper, brass and aluminium parts, and is also used for wood graining. Overall diameter 100–300 mm and brush length 300–2000 mm are built to order, with a choice of wire diameters.
Copper-coated wire sits between plain carbon steel and stainless steel: it cuts aggressively like steel but resists corrosion in storage better. It is a removal brush rather than a polishing brush, so where a bright finish is needed choose abrasive nylon or a finer wire. An integrated shaft keeps the roller concentric, which avoids chatter marks on the workpiece and extra bearing wear on high-speed lines.
Send the overall diameter, brush length, shaft diameter and journal details, wire diameter and trim length you want, plus the shaft material (iron, stainless or 304). Describe the workpiece and the finish expected. If you only need the brush body and plan to keep your own shaft, ask for the shaftless version instead.
