Description
A spiral wound roller filled with 0.35 mm brass-coated hard steel wire on a Ø30 mm steel spindle, 176 mm overall with a 610 mm brushing face and 1100 mm total length. It is used for brushing wood surfaces in furniture production, satin finishing aluminium and cleaning metal parts. Abrasive nylon, stainless or carbon steel fills and custom dimensions are made to drawing.
Brass-coated hard wire is a common choice for raising the grain on solid wood and veneers before staining, and for light deburring of metal where plain carbon wire would rust quickly in storage. The 610 mm face suits standard brushing machines; if your panels are wider, the face length and total shaft length can be changed independently. Pick abrasive nylon instead when the surface must not be marked.
When requesting a quote, give us the overall diameter, the brushing face length, the total shaft length and the journal and keyway details at each end. A drawing of the existing roller is ideal.
