Description
A long stainless steel wire roller for cleaning stainless and carbon steel belt and sheet in rolling mill lines. The listed build is 3200 mm overall, 220 mm diameter, on a 102 mm tube with a 40 mm shaft, and lengths up to 6 m can be made. Copper, copper-plated steel, abrasive or nylon fills are available on the same construction.
In rolling mills a brush roller sits close to the strip to strip off oxide, oil film and fines before the next pass or coating. Stainless wire resists corrosion in wet sections and does not leave rust staining on stainless strip. Where the surface finish is critical, an abrasive nylon fill may be safer; where removal speed matters more, wire is the stronger option.
Send the roller drawing, or at least overall length, brush face length, diameter, tube and shaft sizes and the bearing journal details. Tell us the strip material and width, the line speed and whether the brush runs wet or dry. Very long rollers ship in reinforced crates, so confirm your delivery port and any lifting restrictions at your plant.
