Description
A large abrasive nylon brush roller for removing scale and contaminants from steel plate, copper substrate, galvanised and aluminium sheet on pickling and coil lines. The filament is Nylon 612 with embedded abrasive grain in 120, 180, 240 or 320 grit. Diameters of 100–500 mm and lengths of 1–6 m are built to drawing, on a steel shaft or as a flexible coil.
Pickling line brushes run wet in acid, so the filament must resist chemicals while keeping its cutting edge. Nylon 612 abrasive filament holds stiffness in water better than standard nylon, and its flexibility lets it reach slightly uneven strip surfaces. Coarser grits suit heavy scale; finer grits are used where the strip finish matters. The coil form is often preferred where the brush must be replaced quickly on an existing mandrel.
For a quote, send the roller drawing or at least the outer diameter, face length, shaft or core dimensions and drive end details. State the strip material, line speed, acid type and concentration, and the grit you currently run. Let us know if you need a complete roller on a steel shaft or a coil to fit your own core.
