Description
A strip brush formed into a closed ring, with 0.1 mm stainless steel wire pointing inward from a 4# stainless steel frame. Its 60 mm outside and roughly 15 mm inside diameter make it suitable as a brush seal around shafts, rods or cables passing through a housing. Other diameters, galvanized or stainless frames from 3# to 10#, and nylon, PP, brass or abrasive fills are made to order.
Formed ring seals let a moving shaft or cable pass through a wall while keeping out dust and debris, and they tolerate some misalignment better than a rigid lip seal. Stainless wire suits higher temperatures and abrasive environments; nylon or PP is the gentler choice where the rod has a polished finish. The inside diameter should be slightly smaller than the shaft so the bristle tips make light contact.
For a quote, send the outside diameter, inside diameter (or shaft size), frame size and material, fill material and quantity. If the seal must fit a groove or bore, include the housing dimensions or a drawing so the frame section can be matched.
